All written works and videos on the wordsout site, apart from those in the sections Poems I'd like to have written and Cafe Church poets, are the copyright of the author. In some cases additional creators and copyright holders are identified.
Any work, or parts of pieces, may be performed or published free of charge and without specific permission for non-commercial purposes under the terms of the Creative Commons by-nc-nd license (see here for details) including for use in church services and church magazines, and events or publications produced for charities, provided acknowledgement is made as described at the foot of this page.
Works may be translated, and minor adaptations and changes of reference may be made to allow for context (for example, a local traffic bottleneck may be referred to instead of "the Wandsworth one-way system"), but please resist the temptation to otherwise "improve" or make arbitrary changes to the texts. I have made some comments about my own approach to revising poems in the A-Z section.
While no permission is needed for these uses, I am always interested to hear about and/or receive copies to see how the works are being used, any relevant comments or criticism.
For commercial uses, or if you are unsure, please contact me.
For uses of works by a Cafe Church poet, please contact me and I will put you in touch.
All income for wordsout goes to charity, to support two schools in Jos, northern Nigeria, set up and run in very difficult circumstances by my friend Pastor Kenneth Ononeze, so while no fee is required for non-commercial use, suitable donations are gratefully received. Cheques payable to "Wordsout Publications" may be sent to me here.
