Thoughts from the street café

    Bustling people, crowded streets,

a world of busyness,

excited shoppers,

relentless passers-by.

Yet here I sit

pondering over a steaming beverage,

oblivious of time and pressure,

enjoying the moment.

Inside the neon lights,

waiters rushing in and out,

incredible variety of hot and cold drinks,

smart and cheerful.

L’addition s’il vous plait.

My drink has come to an end

and I must join the throng outside,

regretfully returning to the real world.
