Jesus wept

He must be crying now—
for all the people experiencing coldness
hardship and corruption—
the refugees and war victims fleeing their
home country—
the homeless man who sleeps out on a
frozen night—
the needy people who can't get relief and find
their way around the benefit system
designed to confuse—
experiencing the benefit sanction pathway to
visiting the food bank—
Grenfell Tower Inferno—
so many unanswered questions—
many people experiencing coldness misery
and corruption—
time for feelings, time for emotion—
Jesus wept—
I think he's crying now
