Hope
I
hear a bird in the tree
singing—for
me?
For
a moment
we are connected.
It
stops me thinking
about how I feel.
I
listen.
Just be.
My
son is on the computer,
laughing.
Don't
expect.
Don't manipulate.
Just
be.
The cat is lying, peacefully—
for
now
the bird in the tree is free.
And
me? And you?
We share the pain
which
can be transformed
as the road leads us on.
Together
we are one
like
the bird in the tree
and me.
