Things to remember

The smooth outline of Mt Brandon and also
     Bally Gaw Tower.
The soft sweet smell of the grass and green
     vegetation.
The sitting room in Auntie Bridie’s house.
Feelings of affection, joy and thanks giving at
     our meeting.
The pleasant smell of the turf fire.
The taste of whiskey and water.
The pleasure of an Irish tea, especially the
     country bread and butter.
The sound of the Irish language being spoken.
Finally my Aunt giving out to people—
     no nonsense—
Hallelujah! Praise be for Bridie and her
     warm welcome.
